<div><div>The Residential Energy Auditor (Analyst) works with homeowners in the Connecticut River Valley in Massachusetts to identify energy efficiency and electrification opportunities. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to break into the energy efficiency field. Auditing experience is not required and we can train the right person located in or near Springfield who meets our other requirements. The Residential Energy Auditor (Analyst) is responsible for performing diagnostic tests, installing instant savings measures, and explaining program offerings and incentives. With passage of state and federal climate policy, utility programs are rapidly evolving to align with carbon reduction goals, and auditors are critical catalysts in getting energy measures implemented. Your role is:<ul><li> Participate in required and elective training and development opportunities.</li><li> Participate in the development of competencies around Communication, Engagement, Self-Awareness, Organizational Awareness, Data, and Policy.</li><li> Use cultural competency in your interactions with customers and coworkers to foster inclusion and support diverse identities.</li></ul> Primary FunctionEnergy Audits: Conduct energy audits of existing homes, including combustion safety tests and other diagnostic tests. Analyze data. Install instant savings measures such as aerators, light bulbs and thermostats while onsite. Using software, quantify savings and produce reports documenting recommendations, including building electrification opportunities.  Customer Service and Sales: Provide excellent customer service during and after the audit. In particular: listening to customers to understand their needs and motivations; clearly and intelligently answering customer questions as relate to energy efficiency and electrification; effectively communicating recommended energy saving measures; following up with customers as needed. Data and Project Management: Ensure that recommendations comply with program requirements for incentives and rebates.  Accurately enter audit data into appropriate databases and complete documentation and reports in a timely manner. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements<ul><li>1 year experience working in energy efficiency with BPI certification preferred. You may have worked as an Energy Specialist, Home Energy Auditor, or Energy Technician Auditor. If you don't have this experience, CET can train if other requirements are met.</li><li> Strong math skills with excellent understanding of geometry.</li><li> Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide excellent customer service and education about improving home energy efficiency.</li><li> Ability to learn various utility program offerings and analyze usage patterns.</li><li> Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office and modeling software preferred. Ability to learn and perform a variety of diagnostic tests. </li><li> Ability to work independently and spend the majority of time in the field, while also collaborating with CET’s Technical and Operations teams.</li><li> Drivers’ license, a good driving record, access to a reliable, insured vehicle, and ability to drive extensively throughout the region.</li><li>Must be able to pass drug test and background check.</li></ul> This position performs site visits in person in Massachusetts and will need to be located near the Springfield area in Massachusetts. Residential Energy Auditor (Analyst)

The Retail Sales Associate handles cash at the register and works as a salesperson to sell our used building supply and specialty products. We are looking for someone who can develop relationships with our valued customers, providing them with product knowledge and construction remodeling education for their home improvement products to create a unique shopping experience for everyone who enters.  EcoBuilding Bargains is an enterprise of CET. Retail Sales Associate - English & Spanish

<div><div>The <a href="https://www.centerforecotechnology.org/">Center for EcoTechnology </a>is hiring an Energy Analyst (HERS Rater) to join our team of technical staff providing high performance building services.  The Energy Analyst (HERS Rater) will perform energy modeling, inspect buildings, perform diagnostic tests, and provide consulting for single family and multifamily buildings. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with HERS rating experience who wants to take their work to the next level, and who is passionate about reducing the environmental impact of buildings and has a technical background or education. This position is located in Western Massachusetts Springfield area in order to provide in-person assessments of structures. We are looking for someone who can bring new insights, life experience, and diversity to the CET team. This is critical to support our mission impact in historically underserved communities and our success mitigating climate change. Updates energy models as building is constructed or renovated and provides final HERS certificates at project completion.</li><li>Inspections: Schedules and performs on-site inspections of single family and multifamily buildings under construction or renovation, assessing energy efficiency features including insulation, windows, air sealing, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, lighting, and appliances. Communicates with project representative during inspection and documents findings in a report.</li><li>Consulting: Provides building science-based recommendations to clients for saving energy, improving comfort and healthfulness, and reducing environmental impact, which may include new construction or retrofit projects that will not be receiving HERS ratings.</li><li>Diagnostic Testing: Performs blower door tests, duct leakage tests, and ventilation tests in single family and multifamily buildings at different stages of construction or renovation.  Coordinates with other staff to complete testing of large projects.</li><li>Project Management: Stays up to date on the progress of all projects, managing numerous projects simultaneously. Ensures projects stay on track to achieve energy efficiency goals and program requirements. Enters data into appropriate databases.</li><li>Sales and Relationship Development: Maintains ongoing relationships with customers for future opportunities. Pursues opportunities for working with customer on other projects. </li></ul> Job LocationThe candidate can either work from their home office or from CET’s Northampton office and will perform field work 20-60% of the time.
