This is an opportunity to establish SPAN in multiples trades as a dynamic thought leader and category creator. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Work with senior leadership to develop a robust electrical distribution and HVAC distribution strategy and execution plan for assigned distribution accounts within the region</li><li>Develop relationships, execute supply level agreements, and sales and marketing plans with assigned accounts at both national and regional levels</li><li>Negotiate contractual agreements and ensures contract obligations are met</li><li>Conduct regular business reviews and present outcomes to executive leadership</li><li>Engage across all aspects of the distributors business - electrical, EV, renewables, HVAC, etc.</li><li>Support the local awareness and onboarding of installers through distribution to create pull campaigns with local sales teams</li><li>Work cross-functionally to ensure programs are executed and supported by supply chain, product, operations, sales ops, marketing and finance teams</li><li>Understand and monitor industry trends and opportunities for SPAN to expand the business model within distribution</li></ul><h3>About You </h3>Required Qualifications<ul><li>7+ years of experience and success selling to national and/or regional electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or renewable distributors - Sonepar, Greentech Renewables, Ferguson, Watsco, Rexel</li><li>Demonstrated ability for the art of technical sales: driving urgency, consultative selling and closing business</li><li>Strong analytical and operational skills in executing distribution strategic plans that result in mindshare and revenue driven by distributor</li><li>A solid and genuine understanding of technology, specifically relevant to smart home and sustainable or renewable energy</li><li>Ability to create a long term vision and engage key stakeholders to execute on that vision</li><li>Ability to get things done in a fast-paced startup environment</li><li>Strong team-player with proven track record of working effectively with all stakeholders</li><li>Past experience building out a new vertical for a company, including managing a team</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Positive mindset and attitude with a passion for rapidly scaling residential electrification</li><li>Up to 60% travel may be required</li></ul>Bonus Qualifications<ul><li>Participation in industry distributor organizations - NAED, HARDI, etc.</li><li>Based in Dallas, TX OR Chicago, Il</li></ul> The U.S. base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $171,000 plus benefits, equity and 50% variable compensation for Sales-related roles. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the product organization and roadmap by defining the product direction, execution, and product lifecycle. You will dive deep into the current product capabilities to inform a vision and execution for future product roadmap, driving successful product launches enabled by our hardware platform and delightful customer experience. You will bring a rigor in working backwards from the customer, leveraging research, discovery, and honed intuition.Reporting to SPAN’s Head of Product, you'll ensure harmony across our product ecosystem by collaborating closely with the heads of Hardware products, Platform products, and Installer experience. You'll turn an intricate, unseen concept into personalized insights, automations, and actions that resonate with homeowners' energy sources, uses, and costs.
