The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the management team to source and secure the supply of spent lithium-ion batteries and manufacturing scraps for recycling production. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining supplier relationships, sourcing feedstock, negotiating contracts, and monitoring market trends. This role also involves developing new accounts, preparing for the bidding process, and aligning procurement strategies with the company’s objectives. The Quality Environmental Health &amp; Safety (QEHS) Manager will play a critical role within Princeton NuEnergy’s newly established and rapidly growing manufacturing team at our Chester, South Carolina facility. The QEHS Manager will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of all Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, programs, procedures, training, work practices, and safety controls. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced researchers, scientists, and leaders who will guide you through spent battery processing, electrode materials recycling, electrochemical performance testing, and other aspects of organizational operation development. This will involve reviewing the literature, conducting laboratory experiments, assisting with project management, and observing leadership in meetings. At the end of the program, you will have the chance to recap learnings and share your insights with the team through a formal presentation. This is a part-time, temporary position. Qualified candidates must commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the possibility of working up to 40 hours weekly, to participate in our planned curriculum, training, and projects. The duration of the internship is expected to be 2 to 3 months.
