We deeply know the pain points experienced by the commercial real estate industry when implementing sustainability initiatives portfolio-wide and are building the solution we wished we had while running multi-billion dollar portfolios globally. Our mission is to bring a data science approach to commercial real estate in order to increase the pace of retrofits that get us to net zero by 2050.
We finished YC (S22) and raised our seed round at a latest valuation of $35M, with participation from Fifth Wall, Peterson Ventures, Pear, CRV, NFX, Accel, Agya Ventures and climate / real estate executives and founders as angels.

The role
As a Building Engineer at Cambio, you will play a critical role in collaborating with our customers to implement their net-zero strategy for building sustainability. You will work alongside our Data Science team and our decarbonization machine learning models to analyze and implement best-in-class, energy-saving retrofit recommendations at our customers&rsquo; properties. Your expertise in building science and engineering will not only help ensure that our model-recommended solutions are practical, effective, and aligned with industry standards but also push forward the capabilities of our automated decarbonization platform.
What you will be doing

Impact
In this role, you will achieve the following key accomplishments in your first 12-18 months:
<ol>
<li>Directly drive ARR growth for Cambio&rsquo;s SaaS real estate sustainability platform by closing deals with major enterprise real estate investors, owners, and other key customer profiles.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline of key customer leads for a high-growth, B2B enterprise software company to drive continuous revenue growth into the future.</li>
<li>Establish and lead strong relationships with enterprise-level commercial real estate customers, leading to long-term partnerships.</li>
<li>Collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams to deliver outstanding prospect and customer experiences.</li>
</ol>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Real Estate Experience: 5+ years of experience in a commercial real estate role, such as an investor, lender, broker, or similar role, with a strong understanding of the commercial real estate industry and investing landscape.</li>
<li>Sales Expertise: Strong background in SaaS and a deep passion for enterprise software.</li>
<li>Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives.</li>
<li>Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.</li>
<li>Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills and experience closing complex deals.</li>
<li>Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office; CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) experience is a nice-to-have.</li>
<li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.</li>
<li>Team Player: Commitment to the team's success and collaborative working style.</li>
</ul>
Logistics:
<ul>
<li>Work Authorization: Authorization to work in the United States or Canada is required.</li>
<li>Location: While this is a primarily remote role, we generally hire out of 3 hubs&mdash;San Francisco, New York and Toronto&mdash;so being located in or near one of these cities is preferred.</li>
<li>Compensation: This role is currently set at a salary range of ~$90,000-130,000 before commission.</li>
