Project Manager 2

<h2>Overview</h2><p>The Proposal Manager leads and directs Proposal Development Teams formed to respond to requests for proposals / information / qualifications. The Proposal Manager leads and oversees the gathering of information, writing of substantive drafts, and formatting of documents according to client-directed or VEIC standards. The Proposal Manager also leads continuous improvement and maintenance of proposal development resources, templates, and processes.</p><p> </p><p>Proposal work is often fast-paced and involves short deadlines; the Proposal Manager works quickly and efficiently to direct team members, set and meet deadlines, and obtain necessary internal approvals in a timely fashion prior to submission. The Proposal Manager leads and oversees the interpretation of Request for Proposals (RFP) language and client interests, and combines that awareness with knowledge from VEIC subject matter experts (SMEs) to position VEIC as a winning respondent. Managing survey fielding, e.g., schedule distributions, respond to respondent inquiries, manage incentives, etc.</li> <li>Survey analysis: Analyze survey data, for one-off custom projects and ongoing customer experience tracking studies.</li> <li>Qualitative analysis: Conduct and analyze data from interviews, focus groups, and other qualitative research.</li> <li>Reporting: Develop reports (slide decks, written reports, online dashboards) that communicate clearly, directly address client needs, and adhere to formatting guidelines.</li> <li>Collaborative work: Support the business objectives of non-research colleagues and external clients as part of a small research team. Champion insights and the voice of our customer throughout the organization.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals and values of VEIC.</li> <li>3-5 years of experience in market research or a related business area. Energy industry experience a plus.</li> <li>A. or B.S. in a related field preferred.</li> <li>Experience designing survey instruments and/or interview guides.</li> <li>Proficient with basic data analysis, preferably both qualitative and quantitative (e.g., data cleaning, crosstabulations), including basic statistical tests.</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Strong communication skills. Proficient in translating raw data to insights that are relevant to clients. Familiarity with data visualization best practices a plus.</li> <li>Experience programming online surveys in Qualtrics or a similar platform a plus.</li> <li>Experience with data analysis and visualization software (e.g., Qualtrics reports, Displayr, Power BI, R, etc.) a plus.</li> <li>Familiarity with behavioral science concepts a plus.</li> <li>All positions at VEIC are subject to a criminal background check.
