Primary duties include:                     <ul><li>Respond and travel to multiple sites located in Southern and Central Alberta</li><li>Ensure crew and job site safety in an Industrial environment</li><li>Perform Preventative Maintenance on inverters, racking, transformers, capacitors, switchgear, etc.</li><li>Assess and troubleshoot Utility-scale solar equipment software and/or component failures</li><li>Perform equipment repairs and/or replacements following Standard Operating Procedures</li><li>Commissioning of Utility-scale solar equipment and projects</li><li>Documentation and reporting of daily tasks using internal software applications</li><li>Liaising with customers, subcontractors, internal SFE O&amp;M team and other stakeholders</li><li>Represent SkyFire Energy with professionalism, safe work habits, humility and integrity</li></ul> Qualifications:<ul><li>Red-Seal Journeyperson Certificate required</li><li>Experience with medium and high voltage electrical work</li><li>Strong electrical understanding and troubleshooting</li><li>Strong organizational and documentation skills</li><li>Be in good health and physically fit (must be able to lift equipment and other items up to 60lbs)</li><li>Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions</li><li>A valid class 5 license with a clean driving record</li><li>Strong communication and leadership skills</li><li>Safe work practices and understanding of LOTO, Arc Flash Boundaries and levels of PPE</li><li>Ability to work safely in a high potential Utility environment</li><li>Must be available to join the "On Call Rotation" to respond and react quickly to emergency situations on sites</li><li>Must be available to work regularly out of town on projects for durations of 2 days to 2+ weeks</li><li>Willingness to learn and adhere to all safety rules and regulations</li><li>Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing schedule and work conditions</li></ul> Assets (preferred but not required):<ul><li>Solar training and/or solar installation certification (SAIT, NAIT, NABCEP, SEI, etc)</li><li>Solar installation experience – Utility and Industrial projects</li><li>Fall protection training/certification</li><li>Experience with medium and high voltage switchgear</li><li>Willingness to work on Utility-scale solar installation projects</li></ul> Benefits of Working for SkyFire EnergyAs a SkyFire employee you can look forward to enjoying the feeling of accomplishment, and working in a progressive industry which fosters sustainable development principles. <ul><li>An industry competitive wage</li><li>Opportunity to own shares in SkyFire Energy as an employee shareholder</li><li>Comprehensive dental and health benefits</li><li>Workwear and cell phone allowance </li><li>Permanent, full-time positions (work is available 12 months of the year)</li><li>On and off-site training</li><li>The difference of working for a Certified B Corporation</li><li>An enjoyable, modern workplace, including organized staff events </li></ul>Learn more about us here: <a href="http://www.skyfireenergy.com/about">www.skyfireenergy.com/about</a>At SkyFire Energy, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our organization.
