DFMEA ownership</li><li>Work with suppliers and manufacturers to source and qualify components, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective solutions based on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) best practices</li><li>Support the production team with technical expertise during the manufacturing process, ensuring that wire harnesses are assembled to spec</li><li>Participate in design reviews, provide technical input, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, VA/VE</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to wire harnesses during testing and production</li><li>Document and maintain engineering drawings, responsible for change management and engineering documentation of wire harnesses" - 2D Drawings, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), specifications and Bills of material (BOMs)</li></ul><h3>The Must Haves:</h3><ul><li>5-7 years of experience in wire harness design and development within the automotive, heavy-duty trucking, or EV industry</li><li>Proficiency in CAD tools, particularly for wire harness routing and design (e.g., CATIA, NX, Zuken)</li><li>Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, standards, and best practices</li><li>Experience working with high-voltage systems and components is a plus.</li><li>Ability to work onsite in a hands-on environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li></ul><h3>Bonus Points:</h3><ul><li>Degree in Electrical Engineering</li><li>Experience with electric vehicle (EV) systems and components</li><li>Knowledge of ISO 26262 and other relevant safety standards</li></ul><h3>Other Requirements:</h3><ul><li>Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a shop environment, including standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. The salary range for Mountain View, CA-based applicants is between $151,000 - $212,000 USD annually.
