<div>BEI Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist for our solar division.  This position will report to the Safety Manager and will assist in overseeing company-wide safety efforts.  The role of Safety Specialist is responsible for the overall administration of safety guidelines and OSHA regulations on the project.   Responsibilities:<ul><li>Implement and ensure compliance of company safety policies, protocols, and plans</li><li>Investigate accidents, implement post injury responses and follow-up, and adhere to procedures that promote safe working environments</li><li>Conduct safety audits on employees, equipment, and site materials</li><li>Identify and minimize unsafe working conditions</li><li>Educate employees on risk, hazard, and injury prevention</li><li>Provide on-site guidance and assistance to personnel at areas with critical health and safety concerns</li><li>Review accident occurrences and make educated recommendations for preventative corrections</li><li>Promote company goals and health/safety objectives</li><li>Identify and adhere to new health and safety regulations</li><li>Act as company representative in dealing with government agencies on health and safety matters</li><li>Evaluate hazardous conditions and assist in development of control practices/programs</li><li>Analyze incident reports to evaluate injury cases based on reported facts</li><li>Coordinate and/or conduct safety training for internal employees and external personnel</li><li>Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies</li><li>Direct industrial safety and hygiene services</li><li>Track and evaluate applications necessary for site safety permits</li><li>Other duties, as assigned</li></ul> Requirements<ul><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Safety professional in the construction industry</li><li>Ability to drive for occasional project errands; valid driver license required</li><li>Extensive familiarity with OSHA compliance</li><li>Excellent communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills</li></ul> About UsBEI Construction is a growing multi-jurisdictional union construction firm.  We specialize in electrical construction projects, technology infrastructure, underground construction, and renewable energy solutions.  BEI Construction is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, disability, protected veteran, military status, religion, age, creed, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, genetic information, or any other basis prohibited by local, state, or federal law.  Visit our company website at <a href="http://www.beiconstruction.com/">www.beiconstruction.com</a> to learn more!</div>
