We’re backed by leading impact and strategic investors, including Valo Ventures, CitiVentures, 2150, Noa, and municipal bond giant Assured Guaranty.</div> The Product Marketing RoleAs our Product Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for marketing and communications with our customer base of urban planners and large enterprises. You’ll get to know our customers deeply, telling their stories, crafting beautiful materials about our products and how to use them, and helping us accelerate sales to urban planners and other target segments. You’ll get hands-on with our product, gaining first hand experience that informs how-to-guides and product demos. From webinars, to workflow guides, to targeted messaging, you’ll leverage your creativity, writing skills, design sensibility, and passion to evangelize the power and impact of UrbanFootprint for our customers. Your work will support new and existing customers as they design and invest in more resilient communities and infrastructure. You’ll have great material to work with as you make your mark at UrbanFootprint. We make beautiful maps. We have unique data insights and high-impact stories to tell. You’ll be weaving these into your work as you collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of urban planners, data scientists, and customer specialists. Your responsibilities will include: <ul><li>Crafting Compelling Product Messaging - Create clear and persuasive messaging that communicates the value and promises of UrbanFootprint’s products.</li><li>Producing Sales Enablement Materials - Create sales tools such as presentations, brochures, case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and product demos.</li><li>Owning the UrbanFootprint website - Drive design and content of the UrbanFootprint website, including gathering customer testimonials, creating clear ROI statements, and developing compelling narratives. </li><li>Enhancing Our In-Person and Social Media Presence - develop webinars, customer-voice pieces and promotions, and plan our participation at key conferences and events.</li><li>Lead Generation and Nurturing - Develop and implement lead nurturing campaigns, including strategy development, email and landing page creation, and coordination with sales communication.</li><li>Monitoring Market Trends and Competitors - Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform product and marketing strategies. Identify key planning events and conferences in Q1 2025. </li></ul>Your background likely includes: <ul><li>5+ years of experience in Product Marketing. You’ll have a high degree of autonomy, partner with the CEO and senior leaders, and be exposed to all aspects of the business. For the right candidate, this will propel them into a VP Finance / Head of Finance position.As a team of one, in partnership with the CEO, management, and third parties, you’ll run accounting, financial reporting, payroll, and compliance. You’ll also meaningfully contribute to FP&amp;A, board and investor relations, and customer and vendor contracting.We’re seeking someone with a strong analytical mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your background likely includes progressive development at other software companies, work in early-stage start-ups, and experience in various accounting and finance functions. As Finance and Accounting Manager, you will perform tasks like:Accounting:<ul><li>Perform full cycle accounting and month-end close, including transaction entry, reconciliations, and posting journal entries.</li><li>Perform AP and AR recurring processes and support the company with efficient financial operations.</li><li>Provide knowledge and expertise in applying ASC 606 and other technical accounting relevant to a SaaS company.</li></ul>Finance:<ul><li>Financial reporting for internal and external parties.</li><li>Support the CEO and others with forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modeling.</li><li>Support the development and implementation of financial KPIs.</li><li>Collaborate with the CEO on commission plans, annual bonuses, compensation adjustments, and other compensation matters.</li><li>Collaborate with our CEO and legal counsel on customer and vendor contracting.</li></ul>Payroll and Compliance:<ul><li>Process payroll through our PEO.</li><li>Collaborate with managers and IT on onboarding and offboarding employees.</li><li>With the support of our PEO and tax CPAs, address non-income tax compliance and tax filings.</li></ul>Your strengths and background:<ul><li>5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.</li><li>Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge that applies to a SaaS company.</li><li>Experience operating with a high degree of autonomy, ideally in a VC-backed start-up.</li><li>Strong interest or experience in FP&amp;A and financial modeling.</li><li>Strong communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong desire to learn and grow.</li></ul>Target salary: $125,000 - $170,000, plus bonus eligibility and equity.<div>UrbanFootprint is committed to diversity in its workforce.
