This position is responsible for the mechanical and basic electrical maintenance of SERES’ fleet of test vehicles, including prototype and production electric vehicles, gasoline range extender vehicles, and automated driving test vehicles.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance such as brake bleeds, brake rotor/pad replacement, tire changes, oil changes, 12v electrical debugging, alignment, etc.
  • Assist with prototype vehicle wiring harness creation & routing
  • Assembly and integration of prototype mounts and brackets
  • Install and remove motors / subframes
  • Maintain clear record of vehicle services and part inventory with online tools
  • Maintain a clean shop
  • Help engineers with small R&D projects
  • Support test trips by driving pickup truck and trailer, prototype test vehicle, or chase vehicles
  • Willingness to learn various EV-related assembly machinery
  • Driving pick up with a trailer for test trips.
  • Safety driver training or equivalent experience is a plus.  


Preferred Skills

  • 3+ years of automotive dealership technician experience or equivalent
  • General fabrication / machine shop skills
  • Safety driver training or equivalent experience
  • High voltage experience
  • CDL endorsement
