As a member of the metrology team, you will help us conceive of, develop and build advanced measurement and imaging systems for collecting high velocity data predictive of battery performance. Come join us in a role that sits at the intersection of materials, manufacturing, machine vision, and data science!
What you will do:•Develop and troubleshoot metrics derived from measurement and image data in both prototype and production software environments•Build data products to facilitate consuming and analyzing metrology data•Lead the development of critical component level measurements and tests that scale•Design and execute characterization studies utilizing a variety of tools to support new method development and test metrology hypotheses•Collaborate with hardware and process team members to develop and integrate methods into our production line.
Minimum requirements:Education & Experience•BS in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field•5 years of academic or industry experience•Professional or academic experience analyzing data with Python•Previous experience working with or developing measurement, imaging, or characterization systems
Knowledge, skills & abilities:•Fluency in Python and experience analyzing and visualizing image or sensor data•Self-motivated with a track record of learning new skills and applying those to achieve results•Thrive in a dynamic, technically-challenging environment, and quickly adapt to changes•A good communicator and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team to solve complex challenges•Able to multi-task with excellent time management; strive to root cause complex problems•Share a real passion for our mission
Experience in any of the following are the strong plus! •Implementing standard methods (ISO, ASTM) for analyzing measurement and image data•Measurement systems analysis, statistical process control, and design of experiments•Specifying and optimizing imaging systemsWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
