We are currently seeking a Low Voltage Harness Technician. This position requires a qualified professional with e experience in creating bench and vehicle wire harnesses and custom cables. You will be working with engineers regarding requirements and sourcing parts to create harnessess. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.   

The Role

  • Create bench and vehicle wire harnesses and custom cables
  • Work with Engineers to understand requirements and source all parts to create harnesses
  • Support prototype vehicle builds and work with the Engineers to debug electrical harness issues
  • Rework vehicle harnesses as required  Work creatively and efficiently within a multi-disciplinary cooperative environment
  • Support harness validation and quality assessments  Help build different levels of test benches for various engineering groups
  • Manage inventory of the harness lab  Support show car builds and custom modifications  

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a Technician
  • Ability to read harness schematics and prints
  • Proven hands-on experience in building and reworking vehicle harnesses
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscope etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of connectors, terminals, seals and crimp tools
  • Expertise in working with PCB connectors and strong soldering skills
  • Troubleshooting skills in EV automotive electrical systems, Ethernet, CAN, coax etc.
  • Documentation skills using MS Office tools as well as Jira and Confluence
