Job Description

Facebook is hiring a sustainability and communications professional to join the Sustainability team. The role will leverage strong program management skills to drive sustainability reporting, communications, and business integration efforts, collaborating closely with internal partners across the company, and helping manage emerging sustainability issues. We are looking for smart and flexible candidates who are enthusiastic about collaborating with others, strong analytical skills, with demonstrated technical and critical thinking abilities and exemplary communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-impact, cross-functional corporate sustainability projects at a global scale. This role will be based in our Bay Area campus in Fremont, CA.

Sustainability Program Manager, Strategic Positioning and Reporting Responsibilities
  •  Manage transparency and reporting work for company-wide sustainability portfolio
  • Manage relationship with communications team supporting Sustainability
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive outreach plan and complete narrative around Sustainability
  • Respond to incoming requests for information or communications
  • Proactively push communications and marketing materials
  • Manage Facebook’s global sustainability website and resources dedicated to maintaining the associated data and content
  • Manage internal and external relationships with key stakeholders related to communications and reporting
  •  Ability to travel (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
  •  Bachelor in Business Administration, Marketing Communications, or Public Policy
  •  8 or more years of experience with sustainability
  •  Program management skills with demonstrated experience self-managing complex program delivery in a fast-paced quick changing environment
  •  Analytical skills with experience processing large amounts of data and information to derive insights, find patterns and develop actionable plans
  •  A self starter, with a proven experience diplomatically resolve issues through understanding conflicting inputs, achieving alignment, and proposing go-forward solutions
  •  Experience working with interdisciplinary teams (engineering, design, policy/communications, legal) and managing relationships with stakeholders and external partners
  •  Demonstrated flexibility and experience learning and working on new projects
  • Knowledge of and experience with GRI, CDP, DJSI, or SASB frameworks
  •  Understanding of Facebook products and services
  • General understanding of sustainability issues relevant to Facebook
  • Experience working with and managing external vendors
  • Track record of translating ideas into action
  • Communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's in Business Administration, Sustainability Management, or related field
