The Technical Director will be an integral part in building our US technical team, capability and sales effort. The Tech Director defines and ensures a comprehensive and coherent view across Business and Systems and Technology. They go beyond designing IT systems and enterprise solutions to deliver business change. They have deep business and industry expertise, are familiar with industry standards and can work at the boardroom and senior management level. They lead operations relating to market development and/or service delivery excellence. They are seen as a role model in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Act as architect in design and technical project lead in the strategy, design, and delivery of cutting-edge, business solutions across client engagements and internal delivery teams
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the AEM platform as well as a general understanding of Content and Commerce enterprise architectures 
  • Help build engineering collateral for efficient implementation of AEM projects
  • Develop custom solutions and interfaces leveraging the Adobe platform, including AEM, Oak, CRX, OSGI, DAM
  • Provide technical guidance to junior AEM developers around best practices in AEM development - both back-end and front-end execution
  • Help maintain current continuous integration and continuous delivery for development, QA, and live websites
  • Participate in business development activities such as sales pursuits with prospects, estimate new projects, and define the scope for incoming opportunities
  • Identify strategic partners (Adobe, Episerver, Sitecore, etc.) for which to invest and grow the Connect content capabilities
  • Grow internal skills and capabilities through new hiring and upskilling team members
  • Enforce best practices among the web development team while building web applications
  • Lead and coach staff toward thought leadership and project excellence
  • Engage in skills assessments and promote the professional development of staff
  • Work across delivery landscapes that include but not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support, and Deployment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Experience leading 3+ complex Adobe AEM implementation projects from design (architecture) through implementation and delivery for consulting clients
  • 7+ years of experience with programming in Java, Oracle, and MongoDB3+ years of experience working with various CMS systems such as AEM, Episerver, Sitecore, Sitefinity, Kentico, Idev, or WordPress
  • Strong experience  in Functional Architecture Design
  • Experience in Business Knowledge, Integration & Orchestration, Technical Solution Design, Risk & Quality Management.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in integration with components of Adobe Marketing Cloud
  • Strong communication skills and relationship management
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at one time
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Work and communicate effectively with programmers and other IT staff and non-IT functional areas
