How we are protecting employees from COVID-19
At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.
We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
About the Role:
As a delivery driver for our operations in Boston, you are directly responsible for delivering boxes to our customers in the Boston area. You will be expected to deliver up to 125 boxes in a shift. You are also responsible for ensuring that the boxes are in pristine shape, delivered to the correct address, during the correct time window. You will be the main liaison between Imperfect and the customer to ensure that all procedures are followed and that the highest quality of boxes are being delivered to customers.

About You:

  • 2+ years experience in delivery role
  • Mastery of Google Maps to ensure an on time delivery experience for each customer
  • Smart phone for delivery routes and pictures
  • Ability to read and understand directions on the customer's box
  • Passionate about our mission to eliminate food waste
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet (A.K.A. a mental juggler)
  • Excels at independent, unsupervised work
  • Highly communicative - no question is too small to ask!

Details of the Position:

  • This position reports to the Delivery Supervisor
  • We will provide vehicles for all delivery drivers
  • Hourly rate is $21.50 (Tuesday-Friday)

  • Company van will be provided for the delivery routes

Additional Qualifications:

  • Frequent delivery driver
  • Must be at least 22 years of age
  • Must have clean driving record
  • Must have had a valid driver's license for at least 4 years
  • Exposure to all types of weather conditions
  • Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Job Offer contingent on successful completion of background check
