SUMMARY

Nexamp’s Research and Innovation team is charged with identifying new lines of business or internal capabilities that Nexamp could develop, proving the viability of those new programs, and putting systems in place that allow them to scale before integrating them into existing business units.  We are exploring ways to make the future of energy clean, simple, and accessible that go beyond Nexamp’s existing lines of business.

The UX Developer will work with the Vice President – Research and Innovation, DPI (Development, Product, and IT), and other teams across the company to design and build beautiful, informative, and streamlined user experiences that support a variety of new products and strategic initiatives.  

The interfaces that you build will help our customers to better understand and manage their energy usage, helping them to move to a future that’s less reliant on carbon.  is seeking an Analyst to join the Capital Markets team in its Boston office. This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving professionals. We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build clean, attractive user interfaces
• Conduct discovery with customers to understand and iterate on workflows within Nexamp’s products
• Work with designers to iterate on interfaces, based on user feedback
• Develop data visualizations that help customers to understand and improve their energy usage and carbon impact

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and operate well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.  The candidate should be prepared for increased responsibility in a rapidly growing company.

• Proficient in JavaScript, including React, Vue, or a similar framework.
• Experience working with automated testing tools.
• Proficient with data presentation and visualization.
• Working understanding of accessibility and internationalization, and how to implement user experiences while taking these factors into account.
• Knowledge of agile practices and a willingness to iterate rapidly in response to internal and user feedback.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Typescript
• Experience with build and packaging tools for front end code (webpack, etc)
• Mobile development skills, either native (Swift/Java) or using a cross-platform framework (React Native, Cordova, et cetera)
