Data Scientist

At Voltus we move at an electric pace and data is at the heart of our product.  As a data scientist, you will acquire energy industry domain knowledge about demand response programs and energy market operations.  You will leverage your deep understanding of optimization, simulation, modeling, and statistics to solve problems including time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and event prediction.  Your models will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and Voltus’ bottom line.  We are looking for a self-motivated, intelligent, and driven team-player.

Key Responsibilities

• Solid understanding of time series analysis, linear algebra, algorithms, machine learning, optimization, numerical methods
• Excellent Python code
• Experience with data science tools including numpy, pandas, scipy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, jupyter notebooks
• Experience with at least one mainstream deep learning frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch
• Effective communication of model results and limitations to technical and non-technical audiences through written, spoken, and visual mediums
