We are currently seeking a vehicle technician. This position requires an experienced professional with a strong background in diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of vehicles. Our ideal candidate exhibits a persistence toward solving problems and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

  • Travel with the Testing team, providing technical support & upkeep of test vehicles
  • Become an embedded part of Prototype Build, becoming a technical expert in Lucid vehicles
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair prototype and production test vehicles
  • Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative environment
  • Instrument vehicles with engineering test systems
  • Drive engineering prototype vehicles to acquire data
  • Build custom instrumentation systems
  • Continuous learning about high voltage, low voltage, and general vehicle systems
  • Follow repair procedures, i.e. The Three C’s
  • Work remotely and support tests, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Flexible work availability
  • Ability to travel as needed to support Testing efforts (up to 100% at times), including international travel
  • Attention to detail and process
  • Proficient with sensor installation and check out
  • Clean driving record and valid driver license
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate data-logging systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally
  • Desire to learn new skills and tools
  • Ability to apply oneself to solving creatively problems in a dynamic, lean, start-up environment

Preferred:

  • Startup experience
  • Experience in luxury automobile repair environments
  • Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic and/or Aviation Maintenance Technician
  • Military experience equivalent to ASE Certification, AMT, or A&P Technician
  • Fabrication experience
  • OEM Certified Master Technician
  • EPA 609 Certification
  • Automotive Technology/Technician Degree or equivalent experience
  • OEM Proving Ground Driving Licenses and/or Performance driving experience
