Job Description
- Any level of industry experience above two years.
- Graduate degree preferred, not required.
- Day to day responsibilities include working with the aircraft design team, interaction with suppliers, tracking of timelines, budgets and blocking issues.
- Substantial modeling and computational analyses required.
- Candidate is a visionary, capable of independently studying the aerospace issues unique to electric aircraft, and capable of generating multiple iterations concepts for aerodynamics and structures architecture. Candidate has enough humility to accept feedback from an external advisory committee.
- Candidate is above all a clear communicator with an extremely strong background in technical matters related to transport category aircraft, specifically aerodynamics, structures, and/or certification.
- Candidate is a good team player with experience working on complex large scale projects from start to completion.
- Candidate must be willing to travel up to 25%.
- Candidate must be willing to work at the NY office 100 days per year, and at a field site as much as needed.
- Candidate ideally has direct experience with Part 25 transport category aircraft.
- Can have past work in transport category aircraft, small aircraft, drones.
- Capable of planning and supporting setup of a wind tunnel and testing facility.
