We are looking for a diligent Semiconductor Failure Analysis Engineer for our team. Our ideal candidate is a skilled, meticulous engineer, who can work independently and efficiently in large teams, is capable of driving projects to completion ahead of schedule, and is experienced with performing root cause analysis of defects using physical and electrical characterization tools.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily throughput, operation, and service of FIB/SEMs
Deliver high-quality/volume analysis of samples while meeting throughput goals with minimal errors
Direct and assist technicians to maximize sample throughput and failure analysis results
Develop in-house characterization techniques to pinpoint defect and short locations of samples for improved spatial accuracy in failure analysis
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
B.S. degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field
> 2 years’ experience with analytical tools such as FIB/SEM
Proficiency in at least one type of programming language (e.g., Python, R, JMP, MATLAB, etc.)
Experience working with large datasets, SQL databases, or the equivalent
Basic knowledge in Statistics Data Analysis and MSA
Experience with chemical handling, sample preparations, and hazardous waste disposal
Ability to perform work in a glovebox, dry room and fume hood

You are organized, detail-oriented and a have clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to working into evenings, weekends and flexibility to cover shift gaps on short notice
Ability to work one weekend day per week
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a dry room, fume hood, or glovebox requiring the use of fine motor skills and standing for extended periods of time, reaching and twisting motions with hands, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Highly Desired:
Masters degree and >5 year experience with semiconductor FA
Experience with semiconductor FA techniques such as but not limited to: XIVA, TIVA, OBRICH, EBIC, EMMI, etc.
Experience working with a Li-ion battery or analytical test lab
Experience working with a Plasma FIB System
Experience preparing samples in an inert environment, such as glovebox operations, sample preparation (e.g. electrode depositions)
Experience with TEM Lamellae Prep
