To do so, we’re looking for mechanical and system engineers with a specialism in air suspension, to join our Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics team. Your Role:

  • Design, develop, validate and deliver air springs and/or air suspension control systems to a world-leading standard
  • Design with excellence at system and component level, with great attention to every detail
  • Create and optimize mechanical designs for performance, size, weight, durability, and cost [mechanical engineer position]
  • Develop, calibrate and validate air suspension embedded control systems for seamless, class-leading functionality [system engineer position]
  • Select and/or develop the processes and analytical/simulation tools you will employ
  • Work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers, using creativity and teamwork to integrate multiple systems in the most efficient way possible
  • Work closely with stakeholders and attribute owners across the company (Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for your designs
  • Determine required tolerances using GD&T
  • Manage multiple complex projects in a demanding environment
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required


  • A proven track record of technical excellence in automotive chassis engineering
  • A strong desire to create state-of-the-art engineering products as an integral part of a very capable team
  • A flair for creative design engineering and problem-solving
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or similar software [mechanical engineer position]
  • Expert knowledge of materials and sub-components relevant to air spring design (elastomers/plastics/metals, design of sleeves/cylinders/crimp rings/valves, etc) [mechanical engineer position]
  • Experience in model-based design (Simulink or similar) and embedded system calibration (CANalyzer, CANape and similar) [system engineer position]
  • Good understanding of various analysis tools e.g. Matlab, Abaqus, ANSYS, OptiStruct, ADAMS, SHARK  
  • Hands-on practical experience in prototype assembly
  • Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, PFMEA, Control Plans, implementation of DMAIC, DOE and QFD (House of Quality) techniques  
  • Design release engineering experience, including engineering change management and project management experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, casting, stamping etc [mechanical engineer position]


  • Bonus points:
  • Experience in tuning spring/damper systems, ride and handling development
  • Driven-vehicle attributes development experience
  • Experience in component/system/vehicle test, and data acquisition and analysis
  • Understanding of NVH principles
  • Understanding of vehicle dynamics principles 
  • Experience in technology, system and supplier selection
  • You should have:
  • Proof of excellence in your past position, while demonstrating profound creativity in resolving engineering problems


  • BS/BEng or MS/MEng, or equivalent experience, in relevant Engineering disciplines.
