You will seize the opportunity to translate years of R&D combined with the excitement and needs of our customers into delightful user experiences, further expanding the reach of our brand.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment that values continuous delivery across a highly interdisciplinary team. We seek individuals who are self-starters, create clarity in environments of ambiguity, and are excited about the opportunity to bring world-changing products into existence.

You will:

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Aclima’s founding team to ensure the product delivers on company vision and strategy, in line with company values, brand and intended long-term outcomes.
  • Engage a range of users and external stakeholders to successfully validate and scale a product in the natural gas utility industry.
  • Continually iterate and execute on the go-to-market plan.
  • Maintain and manage a user-centric product roadmap to ensure alignment with company vision, launch timelines, and business objectives.
  • Manage a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, developers, scientists, and technologists to execute on product roadmap and deliver an unequaled experience to customers.
  • Work in partnership with Aclima’s Finance Lead to manage a P&L, projections, pricing, and financial scenarios.

Qualifications

  • Prepared: Deep technical familiarity with the utility sector, ideally through direct experience, with an understanding of the business drivers for the sector
  • Proven:  5-10+ years of product management experience, delivering successful products for utilities users
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: Ability to see around corners and work efficiently in a fast-paced, start-up environment and do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Obsessive about customers: Desire to really get to know the consumer, translating their needs into product requirements and experiences
  • Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated use of written, presentation and verbal skills to drive team enthusiasm for products and gain stakeholder buy-in
  • Team player: Build strong relationships with the cross-functional team while serving as the team lead to drive results
  • Data-informed decisions: Strong tacit judgement combined with data to make business decisions, balancing thoughtful research with the need for decisiveness

Bonus

  • Experience in the industry. The ideal candidate will possess experience working with utilities customers, or for a major utility company.
  • Graduate degree in relevant technical disciplines and/or MBA
Please know that you can be a great candidate even if you don't have everything we've described above. You might also possess important skills and experience we haven't considered. If that's you, don't hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself (especially in your cover letter).
