Impossible Foods is addressing the most catastrophic threats facing humanity: climate change and biodiversity collapse. A global transition to a plant-based food system will turn back the clock on atmospheric CO2 levels, restore natural ecosystems and reverse meltdown in wildlife biomass.

This role will lead the majority of our ingredient, packaging, Co-Manufacturing and capital expenditure sourcing for the company reporting to the SVP - Product & Operations.

This role will lead the majority of our ingredient, packaging, Co-Manufacturing and capital expenditure sourcing for the company reporting to the SVP - Product & Operations.
You Will
- Development and execution of a procurement strategy aligned with broader company objectives
- Category, co-manufacturing and ingredient sourcing strategy development and execution
- Achieve agreements that yield cost savings, continuity of supply and cash conversion cycles
- Supplier selection, management, rationalization, performance monitoring, and reporting
- Process improvement programs for increased efficiency and effectiveness
- Cross-functional collaboration with marketing, engineering, manufacturing quality on DFX and LEAN
- Collaboration with Demand-Supply, manufacturing and logistics professionals on total supply chain cost and velocity improvements
- Organizational design, recruiting and talent management
You Have
- Ideal candidate will have 10 - 15 years of demonstrated ability leading the end-to-end sourcing process, from early supplier engagement through negotiation and ongoing performance management
- Capable to analyze the market, track supplier and competitive trends and build long-term roadmaps in partnership with R&D
- Technical depth and; credibility to interact effectively with R&D leaders
- Skilled at working with very large and powerful suppliers, where seller-power can trump buyer-power
- Strong reputation as an outstanding negotiator; personally responsible for leading complex agreements with leading suppliers for favorable cost and supply arrangements
- Deep understanding of cost drivers and cost models; analytical ability to connect this to favorable financial terms
- Results-oriented leader known for employing fact-based analysis, world-class process expertise and well-honed negotiation skills to achieve breakthrough performance
- Demonstrated ability to roll up one’s sleeves and lead by example whether digging into the data or leading a negotiation
- Comfortable operating in a growth oriented environment maintaining a high sense of urgency and performance management
- Significant executive presence and ability to represent one’s organization effectively with executives internally and in the supply base
- General Management demeanor that stretches beyond procurement across the business as a whole; strategic business-mind and ability to see the big picture
- Known as a change agent in the procurement field, having led at least one significant procurement start-up
- Global experience and an understanding of the nuances and differences among business cultures; able and willing to travel extensively
