Job Description
Impossible Foods is addressing the most catastrophic threats facing humanity: climate change and biodiversity collapse. A global transition to a plant-based food system will turn back the clock on atmospheric CO2 levels, restore natural ecosystems and reverse meltdown in wildlife biomass.
The easiest -- if not only -- way to make our civilization sustainable is to eliminate livestock, the most dangerous technology on Earth. But humans won’t give up meat. So we need to make meat better -- more delicious and more nutritious, without animals as the underlying production technology. That means that making meat sustainably is the most important and urgent problem for the global scientific community.

You Will:
- Lead a team of up to 35 people responsible for the technical challenge of scaling up and maintaining Impossible Food's products
- You are a strong scientist who provides both technical leadership and career development to junior and senior level scientists within the Product Development team
- Develop strategy for technical programs, problem solving, and resourcing plans
- Curate a productive, safe, rigorous and collaborative environment for your team to execute on ambitious goals on even more ambitious timelines
You Have:
- PhD Food Science or a related field
- 10+ yrs experience working in food product commercialization at Senior Manager level
- Inspiring, organized leader, competent navigating complex technical and team challenges
- Ability to thrive in a diverse, dynamic team.
- Self-starter that is naturally curious and enjoys working in a fast-past environment.
- Ability to continuously challenge assumptions to seek innovative solutions.
