Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Security Engineer to join our team! We believe in the ethos that a computer network can never be too secure, and we are making it a priority to sustain these ambitions. As the first line of defense in the challenging IT security landscape, you will be a critical member of our team. Help us to safeguard critical data from hackers and cyber-criminals.
As a security engineer at QuantumScape, you will reinforce our IT security posture by identifying threats and vulnerabilities that could impact our operations. Responsibilities include monitoring networks and systems for security breaches or intrusion, assisting with implementation of new security products and procedures, and supporting security tools and technologies.
With your experienced background, you will develop a set of security standards and practices to implement across our organization. You will conduct risk analysis and offer suggestions for remediation or mitigation. You will advise management on the latest security trends related to the IT industry and provide a comprehensive training program for our staff to raise security awareness.
Experience and Qualifications:
* At least 2 years' experience in the computer network security field* Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, and so on* Experience in IAM, RBAC, MFA* Understanding of a mobile device security strategy including MDM* Networking: Corporate network monitoring and security. TCP/IP, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, radius, wifi, and storage area networking* Physical security systems such as card key access systems* Great interpersonal and communication skills
