Job Description

Full Harvest is a high-growth, VC-backed AgTech startup solving food waste (Forbes’ Top 25 Innovative AgTech Startups). We are the first B2B marketplace connecting farms with food & beverage businesses to sell ugly and surplus produce that would have otherwise gone to waste. We recently raised an $8.5 million Series A, led by Spark Capital, and are using the investment to rapidly grow our team. The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a data-driven, customer-focused Head of Marketing to help us rapidly grow awareness and demand for Full Harvest’s online business-to-business marketplace, as well as build a team and systems that deliver best-in-class demand generation, differentiated positioning, and a compelling brand story. An ideal candidate will have strong experience and demonstrated success with digital and growth marketing, while also having some experience managing general marketing efforts, such as communications, PR and/or field marketing. 

Marketing is essential to the company’s growth, so you will own aggressive goals. You’ll set strategy, but you’ll also roll up your sleeves. You’ll lead, mentor, and grow a capable team of marketers who need a strategic leader. You’ll be a part of the company leadership team, working cross-functionally with our sales, and supply teams, as well as tech, product, and program operations, reporting directly to the CRO.

 

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Full Harvest’s marketing organization, including digital/email marketing, content marketing, field marketing, and oversee all off-line activities (PR, Conferences, Awards)
  • Develop and execute the growth marketing strategy to drive the company's key performance metrics including pipeline, revenue, net retention, upsell, and growth targets
  • Set overall marketing strategy, develop forecasts, execute, and measure results 
  • Bring a data driven approach to all marketing efforts, modeling and forecasting ROI, analyzing funnel metrics, conducting A/B tests to refine and enhance messaging, pricing, offerings, etc., in order to achieve KPIs 
  • Collaborate closely with sales and supply teams to deliver on scalable approaches to drive revenue growth and supporting them with key messaging and collateral surrounding FH’s  value proposition
  • Deliver compelling product and brand positioning with clear brand voice and guidelines to help establish Full Harvest in the market, based on deep insight into buyer and supplier needs/motivations, our own product, and market landscape 
  • Build a top performing team with a high sense of ownership, while fostering a collaborative culture 
  • Work with outside agencies and contractors as needed with a focus on prioritizing the highest-ROI initiatives
  • Align with Full Harvest leadership team on strategy, annual budgets and plans, and tightly align Marketing's plan and impact

 

Who you are:

  • You’re a data driven pro who works tirelessly to find innovative ways to drive user acquisition, keep customers engaged, and ultimately turn them into brand champions
  • 10+ years of B2B Marketing and management experience leading high-functioning teams; startup experience preferred
  • Bring 5+ years of demonstrated success in user acquisition (leading to meaningful revenue growth) at a fast-growing startup; you have an exceptional understanding of paid and organic user acquisition channels, with experience scaling at least one; bonus points if you have driven growth beyond undifferentiated paid acquisition, and have strong instincts around approaching unexplored territory 
  • Experience in B2B marketplaces and/or ag/food industry expertise a huge plus, but not required
  • Familiar with Hubspot, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Looker and Salesforce
  • Experience managing outside agencies (i.e., content, PR, digital, brand/creative)
  • Are an exceptional people manager, and have coached individual contributors to deliver to their fullest potential 
  • Are awesome at prioritizing and focusing the team on the highest value opportunities
  • Remain excited to be hands-on and scrappy: comfortable with ambiguity, getting your hands dirty, comfortable betting on bold new experiments, prioritizing, and implementing your own ideas when needed
  • Bring some product marketing or brand marketing expertise
  • Are a systems builder / strategic first-principles thinker, solving problems by both putting yourself in the customer’s shoes and analyzing data
  • Effective communication, written and verbal skills, with ability to share strategy/vision and build consensus amongst multiple stakeholders
  • Are passionate about solving food waste and seriously committed to helping growing a high impact company, even if things aren’t always easy
