OVERVIEW
Beyond meat is a fast-growing plant-based food production company in need of a dynamic finance professional. This position will provide leadership for the plant's financial operations and is a key business partner to the operations team. The position requires a broad business perspective and fundamental skill to manage financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, product costing, fixed assets, inventory, SOX controls, and continuous improvement mythology. The plant ERP system is a Netsuite (Oracle) environment and a successful candidate should have 3+ years of experience in Oracle, SAP or similar software.  
To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to have the following: 1.     Hands on mindset: This is not a pure management role. 2.     3+ years of finance and operational leadership in a manufacturing environment3.     Experience in financial controls and compliance4.     Manufacturing ERP experience5.     Ability to define, challenge and improve processes6.     Advanced Excel skill and the ability to create or maintain financial models 7.     Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced business

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Plant Performance Monitoring
  • Direct the reporting and analysis of the Plant’s financial performance to budget on a monthly basis, validate that inventory records are accurate for all plant inventory movements.
  • Plant and line performance monitoring and control. Assure proper leading and lagging metrics are in place to measure performance.
  • Provide advice to plant management on areas of opportunity (i.e. cost savings, initiatives).
  • Provide leadership and direction in investigating and understanding all major manufacturing variances to ensure timely, actionable information to management.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support to report operational results in a manner which meets management’s need to make timely decisions including results which are and explained in terms of the facilities’ planned goals and objectives.
  • Provide analysis and leadership in business development such as margin improvement initiatives.

  • Budgets & Planning

  • Forecasting, budgeting and planning. Lead and direct the preparation and presentation of annual budgets and quantitative standards. Develop an in-depth annual view of direct labor, indirect labor, variable overhead, and fixed overhead. Develop a month to month forecast and other forward-looking analysis as required.

  • SOX Financial Controls

  • his position will be responsible for Sarbanes Oxley controls at the site. This scope of responsibility covers production reporting validation, Netsuite access, SOD controls, inventory transactions, inventory adjustments, and expense approval. This role is the key point of control  to ensure the integrity of plant financial records and safeguarding of company assets. This includes regular testing and formal reviews of compliance as requested by the corporate SOX team.

  • Capital Control

  • Review capital projects requested by Plant staff and for adequate clarity of justification, consistent with the facilities’ planned direction for investment of capital resources. Act as a resource for capital related questions throughout the capital project preparation process. Provide analysis for business growth and margin improvements.

  • Education/Certification

  • .S. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required
  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Experience

  • At least 5 years of manufacturing or related finance experience required
  • At least 3 years supervisory/managerial experience required
  • At least 3 years of experience in Oracle, SAP or similar ERP software.
