This FP&A role is responsible for being a trusted business partner for the Service Operations organization in process for production, inventory, sales, and gross margin forecasting and budgeting. This role is focused on all forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support the Service operations, including modeling service revenue and costs to repair a Lucid car. This covers all channels (Field Service, Mobile Service, Body Repair/Collision) and all geographies. This position will also work with cross-functional teams to oversee the inventory of parts management and order-to-cash process for service orders. You will support executive decision making and communication to the board of directors. 
The main responsibilities fall in three areas:1.     FP&A: Partnering with Field Service and Mobile Satellite Service Operations, Body Repair and Collision Operations, Pricing, Purchasing, Logistics (3PL), Product Development, and Manufacturing to model service revenue, repair costs, and gross margin for budgeting and forecasting2.     Accounting: Partner with Accounts Receivables, Cost Accounting, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, and Logistics to ensure the order-to-cash process and transactional data is recorded accurately and timely, as well as, audit and tax compliant 3.     Systems: Ensure all systems are aligned with the order-to-cash process and Service operations. This includes ERP (SAP S4/Hana), DMS (SalesForce), CRM (SalesForce), eCommerce (SAP), POS. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the financial forecast process that drive cross-functional team to optimize headcount, service revenue, repair costs, inventory of parts, overhead, labor utilization, and warranty expense while communicating risks and opportunities
  • Partner with cross-functional operating teams to develop service KPI targets that support the company’s annual operating plan
  • Conduct variance analysis on actuals to budget/forecast and identify opportunities for improvements to support financial goals
  • Deliver analytical insights and updates that provide timely and concise business performance results on service revenue, gross margin, inventory, and other relevant KPIs (traffic, conversion) across all service operations, channels, and geographies, thereby supporting timely decision-making
  • Provide ad hoc management reporting and presentations that provide insightful analysis and action items to support Service operations management
  • Identify areas of improving the effectiveness of the financial planning and forecasting activities to streamline and improve processes, including automating manual activities

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of work experience and knowledge in related field in cost accounting, inventory management, and Service operations forecasting and budgeting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various business partner relationships and management levels
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting, financial, and operational principles and processes in a Service organization’s order-to-cash workflow
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill with the ability to process data from multiple sources and build models from the ground up, and developing automated reporting that are easily understandable
  • Proven ability and flexibility in prioritizing in a fast-paced, growth environment
  • Ability to effectively articulate financial stories in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong SAP S4/Hana, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required, SalesForce and Tableau a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA/CPA a plus) in Finance or Accounting
