We are located in San Jose, California with a new energy storage technology that will allow electric vehicles to outperform internal combustion cars. We have enabled a step-change in performance with a different chemistry and cell architecture that also benefits safety. Do you want to make a major contribution to this part of the energy economy? As a battery scientist on the material development team, you will give to realize high energy, power and stable electrode layer on our next generation solid-state energy storage.
Responsibilities:
Craft the electrochemical tests to find the excellent configuration of all-solid-state batteries.Analysis of electrochemical data to understand the material properties.Collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers to develop processing methods for groundbreaking battery materials.

Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.Hands on experience in laboratory. Ability to optimally connect with all levels in the organization; clearly and logically able to convey ideas and thought processes, both verbally and in writing.Any of the following are a plus:– Experience of working in the field of battery sector;– Experience with Statistical Process Control;– Script coding skills (python, jmp);– Experience in image analysis;
Physical Requirements:
–May work with airtight isolation chambers and/or wear neoprene or vinyl gloves for 50-60% of the time;–May frequently reach above shoulder heights and below the waist;–May be required to use hand or power tools;–Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, lift, push and extend arms;We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
