Your role and your team:

We are looking for an ambitious Suppl Chain Operations Specialist in Supply Chain Operations, working closely with program, logistics, integrated project teams in design & manufacturing engineering, as well as major suppliers to ensure program objectives are met and stay on schedule. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Operations, you will support the SC Operations Managers throughout all operational and tactical procurement activities for the Lilium aircraft production. You will work with the Quality teams to ensure that Lilium’s supply chain will comply to all necessary quality standards of EASA 21G and EN9100.

Procurement at Lilium means to work within a team of highly skilled experts managing the creation and establishment of a professional aircraft and non-aircraft supply base with the highest quality product available in time – while meeting technical corporate standards based on a complete new worldwide market eco system.  

Your Day to Day:

  • Engage with the Multi-functional team which will shape the supply chain for the entire aircraft
  • Drive Purchase Requests to Purchase Orders until complete delivery of product
  • Support Recovery actions at suppliers in case of non-performance
  • Ensure all internal root causes of Suppliers non-performance (eg: demand patterns, technical specifications...) are identified swiftly and addressed in an efficient collaborative way.
  • Ensure a proper Risk Management practice is implemented to avoid any disruption to the Supply of items
  • Support SC Operations Managers with various supplier operation deployment projects from start of analysis to ramp up at stable performance
  • Close co-operation with the Supply Quality Engineering/Manufacturing and Engineering teams during development projects
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to secure the plant delivery to safety, time, cost and quality target
  • Contribute to Procurement Strategies & Policies
  • Liaise with suppliers in line with the supplier development/monitoring framework, including supporting cost improvement programmes
  • Ensure that we buy only from Approved Suppliers, and only qualified items
  • Order & Inventory Management, including managing logistic warehouses/stores – track parts from supplier to production stores
  • High response & real-time work behaviour


Your Profile:

  • Education: degree in supply chain, business administration, and/or engineering or proven industrial experience within a similar role
    • Experience in a technical-driven industry (preferably aerospace or automotive)
    • Knowledge of aircraft systems and supplier landscape an asset
    • Participation in implementing of purchase strategies in previous strategic supply chain projects
    • Eager to learn and adopt his/her style to a start-up environment; puts the team first; robust and passionate to follow given objectives; uses failure as learning experience; excellent communicator; ability to facilitate workshops.
    • Demonstrate cross-functional leadership within the company as well as with all the required roles of the supplier
    • Excellent analysis and evaluation skills with a drive to challenge the status quo
    • Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus
  • Must be a proactive, open, and direct communicator who engages comfortably and credibly with all levels of the organisation
    • High personal influencing and negotiation skills
