We are currently seeking a deeply experienced senior leader to program manage Lucid’s product development across the company.  This is a rare opportunity to lead a cutting-edge vehicle development program, working with staff and leadership across the enterprise.  You will take the lead in ensuring on time delivery of the Air with market leading features and an excellent customer experience.  

You Will:

  • Lead and grow the enterprise PMO team in line with business objectives, including implementation of relevant processes and tools
  • Be responsible for program management of the Lucid product portfolio, creating an environment of innovation and product excellence
  • Manage the Lucid Air sedan product and the success of the vehicle lifecycle from development to launch and mid cycle updates.
  • Create and maintain the cycle plan for the sedan and other products
  • Be responsible for the overall timing across products - critical path, milestones, key dependencies and summary.
  • Drive the vehicle/product development process in conjunction with the relevant leadership and functions (design, hardware, software, supply chain, prototype build, NPI, production manufacturing, marketing/sales, etc.)
  • Interface with Marketing and Sales to define the vehicle features and requirements as a function of trim level and related production start dates as influenced by the product plan (market requirements) and relevant constraints (product requirements)
  • Be responsible for ensuring accurate and complete capture of performance and other product goals, appropriate requirements decomposition, architecture definition, test plan definition and successful test and validation to the requirements both functional and nonfunctional.
  • Ensure that products homologation and relevant certifications as required by law and supported by the appropriate business areas
  • Ensure readiness for mass production and service phases of the lifecycle
  • Coordinate closely with sales and marketing to ensure a successful market launch
  • Be responsible for key vehicle financial and budgetary activities including the costed bill of materials, the program prototype budget, PMO budgets (headcount, expense, etc.)
  • Be responsible for program performance measurements, reporting, quality, resource allocation, risk management
  • Aggressively and proactively manage risk across the program portfolio

You Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in automotive industry product development and delivery
  • 5+ years of experience program managing high dollar value products/product development
  • Experience as an engineer in automotive, aerospace or other relevant product area
  • Experience taking multiple products to market as a program manager or other relevant leader with direct experience
  • Experience with NPI, product launch, and post-sales support 
  • The strong technical aptitude necessary to drive development of a high technology product
  • Experience working closely with all functions of an enterprise (Finance, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Industrial Design, etc) to manage the product development life cycle
  • Excellent communication (written, spoken) at all levels of the enterprise
  • Best in class cross-functional interaction skills and a history of driving teams to perform to highly demanding schedules/challenges
  • Ability to coordinate the actions of a large multifaceted organization. A deep understanding of the multiple phases of a large program, how to measure performance in those stages, communicating those two Leadership and staff at large
  • Ability to travel as needed


Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical, electrical engineering), master's degree preferred
  • A master’s degree in business administration (MBA).  A master’s degree in engineering with relevant business experience acceptable
