Your role and your team:

You will report directly to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering - Facilities & Process and work alongside with our Manufacturing Engineering Equipment Acquisition Team.

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Technical Maintenance Manufacturing Engineer to lead the Equipment maintenance activities in a very modern, automated and people-focused aircraft assembly factory.

You will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team who is responsible for the absolute doable and capable realization of the product design into manufacturing & production testing solutions.

This role is fundamental in building a new way of high-volume production within a few years.

You will provide the best factory support to meet the design requirements and the business targets in accordance to the quality standards of EASA 21G and EN9100.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • implementation of preventive maintenance programs
  • the implementation of special maintenance and control of technical results
  • arrangements for handling operations or long-term storage
  • the checking of expense forecasts for maintenance activities and facility renewal
  • the collection and entry of data necessary to update the facility and equipment management archive
  • on the basis of programmed activities and operating conditions, prompt notification of spare part requirements to compensate deviations from routine and special maintenance demands
  • that the quality of machine, equipment or plant maintenance operations, including those carried out by third parties, is in line with reference standards
  • the updating of data concerning the certification of machines and equipment, by making arrangements to check current validity of said certification
  • the traceability of required certification, according to the area of use, with arrangements to check current validity of said certification
  • coordination of maintenance personnel, proposing technical improvements according to the characteristics of said coordination
  • the maintenance of relations with inspection and technical qualification organizations in reference to the area of responsibility
  • enactment of alert safety bulletins, non-conformance reports and failure reports, by actuation of relevant activities
  • coordination of repair activities in the event of serious damage to plants or facilities operating in the geographical area of responsibility
  • collaboration in modification to plants and equipment to ensure operating capacity of the same
  • on the basis of data received, the proposal of the modification to preventive maintenance schedules
  • write Equipment Specifications and ensure the deployment of equipment according to machinery directive 2006/42/EG
  • ensure a proper equipment design for maintenance

 

Your Profile:

  • 6 - 8 years’ experience in equipment maintenance or equipment acquisition for high volume assembly lines of automotive and/or small aircraft assembly is a must
  • experience in writing specification for high volume assembly equipment
  • perfect understanding and execution of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)
  • knowledge in PFMA (Process Failure Mode And Effects Analysis)
  • experience in ramp up high-volume assembly lines into serial production is a must
  • Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical engineering degree in automotive, production and/or aerospace
  • experience in assembly production, development and manufacturing, including material, equipment/machinery, tooling selection and process specification.
  • experience in high-volume, automated manufacturing including process yield improvement during production ramp up
  • lean skills - driving continuous improvements, HS&E and process capability
  • perform data analysis, create documentation and present test results
  • excellent analytical capabilities with a drive to challenge the status quo; eager to learn; puts the team first; robust and passionate to follow given objectives; uses failure as learning experience; excellent communicator with a high sense of urgency 
  • hands-on mentality and heavy collaboration with production team to secure continuous production flow
  • experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
  • german language skills are an advantage, english fluent
