As an R&D Technician on the Metrology team, you will help us build and maintain a rapidly growing fleet of advanced measurement and imaging systems for collecting high velocity data on battery components. Come join us in a role that sits at the intersection of materials, manufacturing, and machine vision!
Responsibilities:
Collect image and test data on a wide variety of both custom and turnkey measurement equipment.Train technical team members on proper equipment operation following standard operating procedures (SOPs).Uncover, diagnose, and fix issues with inspection equipment.Perform measurement system setup and routine calibration and quality checks.Support novel/custom measurement development by assisting data collection efforts.Prepare and ship samples for external testing and evaluation.Maintain clear notes and documentation.
Minimum requirements:
A technical degree from a 2-year program or more.> 1 year experience working with measurement/imaging systems in an industrial setting.Knowledge of safe laboratory practices, especially in handling chemicals.Ability to perform work in a dry room or fume hoodMotivated to learn new techniques and refine existing techniques.Clear written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail.Skilled at using Outlook, SharePoint and MS Office suite.
Highly desired:
Hands-on experience in any of the following:Operating and/or maintaining industrial inspection or vision equipment.Measurement systems analysis (MSA), JMP
