About the Role

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s Asia-based transportation, 3rd party centers, and logistics operations. The candidate will implement and execute the overall strategic planning and benchmarking for all transportation and logistics activities. In addition, while acting as a key point of contact for third-party logistics and freight partners, the role will require problem analysis and resolution for operational issues. Further, the individual will support continuous improvement in logistics by using analytics to identify potential areas of opportunity. The role requires a proactive, detail oriented, and autonomous approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. The Logistics Manager will communicate with many individuals across the organization, and will collaborate well and communicate effectively with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Make recommendations for the selection of, and develop the partnership with, freight and logistics providers.
  • Identify company objectives and key results and develop a dashboard and scorecard for evaluating partners.
  • Own the regular and ongoing business review process for logistics providers.
  • Build logistics budgets and develop processes and benchmarks to handle within these parameters.
  • Maintain and improve external relationships with providers and remain informed on market trends to advise decision making.
  • Establish and develop strong working relationships within the Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other Spin teams.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of logistics related workflows within Netsuite.
  • Report on Asia based logistics activities company wide, and use available analytics to inform changes and to suggest improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned within the Hardware Operations organization.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management.
  • 6-8 years’ experience with growing levels of logistics / inventory management responsibility.
  • Familiar with Enterprise Warehouse Management Systems and with Netsuite.
  • Strong understanding of import/export requirements and customs practices within Asia.
  • Experience in vendor oversight and with external partnerships and relations.
  • Ability to travel internationally (10%)
  • Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written primarily in English
