About the Role

The IT Project Manager will manage the day-to-day activities of one or multiple complex business-sponsored BizSys & IT projects to deliver tasks on time, within budget, and within scope. Responsible for the success of the project(s). This is a hands on, individual contributor role.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently on projects of varying size, with an ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understand and apply the tools and techniques to define, measure and control the performance of the project or IT operations.
  • Knowledgeably calculate the cost of a program, project, or operation accurately, openly, and reliably. Ensure project scope and costs are agreed upon by the stakeholders.
  • Coordinate business requirements gathering, documentation and partner approval.
  • Conduct internal and vendor inquiries pertaining to the development of technology or information systems to meet current and projected business needs.
  • Coordination of RFI/RFPs with third parties, project and internal procurement team.
  • Provide regular reporting updates to all stakeholders and project sponsors, including status updates, milestone information and risk and issue information.
  • Serve as escalation point for project risks and issues.
  • Lead change management processes and is responsible for overall project execution.
  • Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
  • Guide and delegate work with cross functional groups such as meetings, planning sessions, and training of team members and leader.
  • Controls, audit, regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or science related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience actively leading IT projects of medium size and/or scope with complex matrixed teams.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines in a matrix environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and advanced Excel, MS Office applications and knowledge.
  • PMP Certification preferred
