We invite an experienced protein process development engineer to join the R&D team! They will work with the R&D scientists to help translate research insights into viable processes that can be scaled. They will establish and enable successful scale up of novel processes to isolate functional and low-flavor tasting plant proteins.

You Will:

  • Collaborate in protein processing pilot projects to achieve both near term company objectives and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Be involved in processes from bench to pilot scale.
  • Work closely with scientists, engineers to achieve best results and optimize process.
  • Participate in process development & optimization of pilot to large scale.
  • Work with unit operations necessary for novel to process development.
  • Develop scaled down manufacturing processes at bench and pilot scale.
  • Elaborate batch records, SOP and all safety procedures.
  • May travel up to 20% for FATs.

You Have:

  • Minimum of MS in an Engineering field.
  • 3+ years of experience in process development for food applications in pilot plants or manufacturing & operations (food, biochemical and/or pharmaceutical).
  • Direct experience with food and/or biotech processes & systems/units operation such as : centrifugation, filtration, high shear mixing, and powder dosage.
  • Experience processes between bench, pilot, and manufacturing scales.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving based on data.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, hands on profile.
  • Ability to work in fast paced cross functional environment.
  • Experience GMP, and FDA food processing as well as HAACP, and other food production standards.
  • Understand of classified and explosion proof (Ex) area (desirable).
  • Ability of handling 50 lb weight during trials and operation.
