Research Associate - Flavor

We are looking for a creative and mission-aligned research associate to join the Flavor Research Group. Our goal is to discover, understand, and deliver incredible flavor experiences! A successful research associate in this position will partner with research scientists to design new flavor systems and deliver those systems into plant based meat prototypes.  Strong data analysis skills and motivation to learn analytical chemistry will be essential for this position.

You Will:

• Learn to develop and characterize flavor systems in plant based meats.
• Run analytical and sensory experiments to understand flavor systems and prototypes.
• Interpret data from trials, summarize conclusions, present findings, and communicate information to working team.
• Be a champion for thorough science, and proactively educate and learn from others.

You Have:

• A BS or MSc in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other life science field.
• 1+ years of research experience preferably in an academic setting.
• 1+ years experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in an academic setting.
• Experience in programmatically interacting with data is a plus (eg. Python, R, ect.).
• Excellent organizational, communication skills.
• Ability to thrive despite uncertainty.
