What will I be doing?

The position sits within operations, providing technical support to determine the suitability of potential supply chain partners in regards to their safe working practices for the safe installation of Central heating systems, renewable and/or Gas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating sound technical knowledge of First time Central Heating systems Renewables and/or gas, to support selection and on-site auditing of PC processes when installing Renewable and/or Gas Heating appliances.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest SHE standards, above set benchmarks and aligned with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
  • Keeping up to date with all relevant regulations in order to advise and maintain compliance (Electrical, Gas Regulations, Building Regulations)
  • Providing inspirational leadership to your team and the wider supply chain
  • Delivering projects to achieve the required quality, on time and within budget
  • Ensure all ES project documentation is complete, compliant and appropriately stored
  • Supporting the development of in-house Principal Contractor capability.
  • Submitting accurate/timely project status reports on the agreed suite of reporting templates
  • Understanding and react to compliance. Ensure PAS2030 and/or MCS compliance on allocated projects and undertake stage installer partner audits
  • Managing site issues and any customer complaints within agreed SLAs or internal KPIs
  • Working collaboratively with the Business Assurance Team to ensure the resolution of all Technical Monitoring Fails within set timescales
  • Completing site measures as necessary, manage the variation process and validate all subcontractor valuations

Is this the job for me?

Ideally you will have:

  • Strong Technical knowledge of domestic First-time central heating systems Renewable and/or Gas.
  • An understanding of government obligation – Renewable heating Incentive and ECO.
  • A demonstrable understanding of all ES business areas, domestic retrofit Heating, Renewables and Insulation.
  • A strong understanding of the business needs that drive your team’s activities.
  • A high-level understanding of your team’s area(s) of responsibility and how they contribute towards the Groups goals.

Desirable but not essential qualifications:

  • Current ASHP Approved installer course (Mitsubishi Ecodan or equivalent) and/or Gas Safe Registration
  • Site Managers Safety – SMSTS
  • Construction Skills Certificate Scheme – CSCS
  • APM / PRINCE2 or similar
  • Computer literate with proficiency of MS Word, MS Excel, MSP (Project Software)
  • Basic experience & knowledge of JCT / NEC Form of Contracts
  • Full clean driving license is essential as travel within the UK will form part of the role
