We are currently seeking a Logistics Systems Analyst.  This position requires an experienced professional with the ability to support and maintain Logistics applications and tools required to manage and optimize the various Logistics operations.  
The successful candidate will have ability and experience in developing functional requirements for complex integrated logistical systems or developing recommendations for functional process improvements in an automotive manufacturing environment.  This position requires partnership with Transportation, Trade Compliance, Manufacturing, Packaging, Material Flow, Warehousing and Facilities as well as our Suppliers.

You Will:

  • Ensure all logistics data requirements are coordinated to deliver flawless launch and optimal operation i.e. Inbound Freight, Finished Vehicle Logistics, Material Flow, Packaging, Warehousing, Assembly Operations and Facility launches worldwide. 
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop and maintain various logistics databases like, Plan for Every Part, Material Master, Suppliers data, Spend data, TMS, WMS, Plan for Every Part.
  • Develop data systems launch plans & timing that ensures success for new projects and track all data progress, developing dashboards, issuing metrics and facilitating team reviews.
  • Proactively identify and prioritize opportunities to streamline Logistics systems processes and collaborate with team members to identify and document business needs and objectives, operational procedures, challenges, data scope etc. 
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve processes and write, maintain, track, and document functional specifications for new and modified Logistics systems.
  • Participate in configuration, testing, deployment, validation etc. as needed for the delivery of system solutions. 
  • Maintain Logistics systems including but not limited to Material Master, Suppliers data, Spend data, TMS, WMS, Plan for Every Part.
  • Communicate with internal and external team members to provide status updates, analyze simple to complex problems and determine possible solutions for technical and procedural issues that may arise.
  • Ensure all logistics system functionality is configured to optimize performance (e.g., warehouse management, transportation management, reporting applications).
  • Provide general consulting, problem assessment, analysis, proposed solutions and development of processes, tools and strategies geared toward logistics business process improvements.
  • Analyze and determine best transportation solutions globally, including systems and processes.
  • Analyze and determine best warehouse solutions globally, including systems and processes.
  • Identify data sources, develop integrated KPI tools and methodology
  • Establish control processes and guidelines for data maintenance 
  • Conduct/lead business process analysis to understand the needs of the logistics organization and translate those needs into clear specifications.
  • Develop quantitative analysis, ad-hoc reports, and models to support key operations decisions, including process optimizations and logistics management
  • Compile and create reports, graphs, charts, documents and slide presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Tableau..
  • Support Logistics financial reviews and provide analytical support for RFQ's, RFP's and RFI's as needed.
  • Extract logistics data from SAP, TMS, WMS, PFEP and create meaningful reporting to identify trends, performance metrics and issues
  • Participate in weekly reviews with Management
  • Facilitate and coordinate logistics data integrity concerns and provide a regular communication link back to the program and plant senior team.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and provide effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time with ability to meet project timelines.
  • Drive data collation from across the business and participate in regular planning reviews and change processes and prepare data in line with changes.
  • Establish working relationships with representatives from key organizations data communication and compliances.
  • Provide additional analytical support as required. 
  • Work towards and support a culture of continuous improvement and work to make business and department improvements wherever possible.

You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in any of the following areas: transportation, warehouse operations, material flow, material planning, packaging or materials handling.
  • 2+ years of experience working with SAP and/or TMS, WMS strongly preferred 
  • 2+ years of related automotive industry experience and LEAN manufacturing
  • Functional knowledge of Supply Chain business processes across the areas of materials management, warehouse management, MRP, stock transfers and logistics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel (e.g., V-Lookup, pivot tables); written and verbal communication; and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze large, complex data sets using a variety of software and tools.
  • Tableau, SQL and advanced database querying and analysis experience preferred
  • Analytical and detail oriented with strong organization and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work independently with changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with success in working across organizations at all levels.
  • Biased for fact-based decision making and actions.
  • Occasional travel to support the business may be required.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Systems Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain or related field. 
  • Master’s Degree in one of these fields is preferred. 
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
