Job Description

Overview:

The Multifamily Development Manager is integral to the post sales process for Sunrun’s growing Affordable Multifamily Solar & Storage project pipeline.  The Manager will be responsible for maintaining a pipeline of customer requests including: plan approvals, agreement signatures and document collection with the intent to improve customer experience and reduce project install timelines.  This is a new role and the candidate will also be tasked with developing robust internal and external tracking tools to support volumes.

Responsibilities:

Customer Relationships 

  • Cultivate key contacts across  a number of Multifamily developers, to support various phases of project development.
  • Balance Sales relationship - mindful of new Sales pipeline with each developer

 

Project Management

  • Gather documents, address open items and resolve questions that help move projects forward through Design and Construction to final interconnection
  • Prioritize with the developer for maximum impact to keep projects moving forward
  • Manage outbound requests 
    • Negotiate internally with teams to determine what asks are most urgent or highest impact to resolve first
  • Create and maintain client facing project management tools to track and prioritize asks for the customer and communicate project status on a portfolio of projects with development timelines of 10-20 months

 

Operations & Process

Revamp how we track customer asks amidst increasing scale

 

  • Utilize Smartsheet, Salesforce, G Suite, and add-ons and enhancements
  • Increase internal cross-team communication and efficiencies with dashboards, data intake tools and document automation

 

    • Develop streamlined processes for project management across internal teams

 

  • Support integration with other Sunrun tools, teams, processes

 

 

Additional duties assigned as needed

Qualifications:

REQUIRED

Minimum education bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience 

Minimum 3 to 5 of years of experience in project manager, business analyst or similar sales role. Affordable Multifamily, Solar or construction management experience welcome.
