Job Description

Overview:

Sunrun is looking to hire an exceptional Legal Operations Associate to support its growing Legal Operations Team! The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, adaptable, brings a “can do” attitude, welcomes working in an environment with changing requirements, and eager to learn about the residential solar industry.

The Legal Operations Associate works directly with Sunrun’s Customer Care, Collections, Field Service, and Legal Operations, with a focus on customer satisfaction in order to more effectively de-escalate customer disputes. You have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. You are extremely organized and possess critical thinking skills, allowing you to form detailed summaries of escalations and make educated recommendations for resolution to the Legal Operations team.

The Legal Operations Associate develops and maintains a deep understanding of Sunrun products across all markets and detailed knowledge of Sunrun’s Customer Agreements. You develop and maintain extensive Salesforce knowledge in order to manage cases and investigate escalated disputes. Sunrun is a fast-paced and growing company, so this position will be expected to work independently, but partner with various members of other internal teams.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

 

  • Escalated Customer Disputes (85%)
    • Manage and resolve all escalated customer issues consistent with Sunrun guidelines.
    • Consult with Legal Operations management as necessary.
  • Escalated Customer Dispute Guidance (15%)
    • Work directly with Legal Operations management to contribute to, and enforce, training materials based on customer escalation insights.
    • Provide ongoing support to Customer Care, Collections, and Field Service.
    • Conduct weekly review sessions to assist in resolving escalated cases.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience, preferably within an in-house legal department or compliance department.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, passionate about diving into the “fine print,” and interested in learning and acquiring new skills.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable interacting with all levels of management, building relationships across teams and with key stakeholders to facilitate the completion of projects, many of whom will be distributed across the country.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and an ability to effectively explain complex issues to various audiences via email, conference call, one-on-one, and group settings.
  • Strong proficiency with Google Suite, Excel, and PowerPoint.
