Interim Manager Reporting & Accounting (7 months)

Your role

Fastned is looking for a driven and motivated Reporting & Accounting Manager for a period of 7 months as a substitute for a colleague who will be on maternity leave. You will supervise all accounting activities for Fastned BV and 9 subsidiaries across our six active European countries. Part of your responsibility will be to oversee a team of 3 accountants. You will be responsible for delivering the half year (unaudited) report, supported by the controller and accountants. The role will be based in our Amsterdam headquarters and you will become part of a diverse & fun international team while getting the unique chance to learn about our future-driven industry.

For a sneak-peak you can download the 2020 half-year report on our website. The assignment will start at the beginning of April 2021 and will last until the end of October 2021.

Your overall tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Supervising all accounting for Fastned BV and 9 subsidiaries on a day to day basis;
• Coordinating monthly accounting close (IFRS basis);
• Daily supervision of 3 assistant accountants;
• Preparing the consolidated financials for the first half 2021 interim report and liaison with the auditor for their half year review;
• Managing leases and fixed asset administration (IFRS16);
• Reviewing country specific monthly payrolls, pension and insurance and liaison with payroll specialists;
• Supervision and approval of bank payments, and accounts receivable and payable management;
• Reviewing subsidiary statutory accounts prior to filing with authorities.

Who we are looking for

In order to be successful in this role you bring along an entrepreneurial hands-on mentality, combined with an innovative mindset. You think like a founder and surprise us with canny solutions. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

• Experienced finance manager or team leader used to preparing consolidated figures for a Euronext listed company with multiple entities and different currencies;
• Previous experience with the Big 4 or a listed company is an advantage;
• Extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting package;
• Experience in leading the dialogue with auditors;
• Structured way of working, not easily stressed, with a self-starting mentality;
• Fluent in English - knowledge of any other European language is an advantage;
• Full-time availability from beginning of April ‘21 until end of October ‘21.
