This a full-time position, reporting to the VP of Commercial Sales, and an opportunity to join one of the world’s fastest growing food companies. This fast-paced role will play an active part in supporting Beyond Meat’s day-to-day global sales efforts, including our Retail and Food Service sales teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manage trade and promotions process, including analyzing promo effectiveness in coordination with Sales and Knowledge and Insights teams.
  • Conduct ROI analysis for retail promotions.
  • Work with CPG Trade Planning systems (i.e. Blue Planner, MEI, etc.) as well as syndicated data systems (Nielsen/IRI/SPINS).
  • Lead monthly and annual promotions planning exercise with the team.
  • Identify bottlenecks in the promo process and continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of insights.
  • Cross functional point of contact to manage the Trade Promotions Management (TPM) tool, working closely with Commercial, Sales, Accounting, and IT.
  • Partner with Finance and Sales on trade accrual process.
  • Partner with Accounting on deduction clearing process and improving efficiency.
  • Manage the trade brand strategy to meet or exceed business unit volume objectives while staying within spending budgets
  • Co-Develop with Sales Team national Sales Planning Guidelines (SPGs) for field sales team regarding net pricing, promotional retail pricing strategy, and customer promotional timing calendar.
  • Work directly with the Retail and Food Service sales team to develop account trade strategy and build account level plans for volume, trade spending tactics and assortment that delivers customer and category growth utilizing fact-based information from a variety of industry sources (Nielsen, IRI, customer POS, shipments, etc.).
  • Manage the flow of merchandising/slotting events within the trade planning system (Pending/Planned/Committed).
  • Develops scorecards and tools which continuously drive decision-making to produce break-through results on the top and bottom line
  • Manage produce and customer hierarchy within trade planning tool.
  • Optimize analytics module within trade planning software – including identifying key metric and improving visualization.
  • Work cross-functionally with accounting and internal audit teams to maintain and improve SOX controls.
  • Maintain master data validity within trade planning software.
  • Push current boundaries of trade planning software to add functionality, improve efficiency and limit redundancies.
  • Take over administration of trade planning software.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS required.
  • 5+ years of CPG industry experience in Trade Marketing/Deduction Management/Sales Planning.
  • Advanced analytical ability with a complete understanding of common sales metrics.
  • Exceptionally detail oriented.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make decisions.
  • Strong experience working with CPG Trade Planning systems (i.e. Blue Planner, MEI, etc.) as well as syndicated data systems (Nielsen/IRI/SPINS).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, category leadership, and accounting to accomplish goals.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills, to both internal and external audience.
  • HQ-based position, limited travel may be required.
