Cell Analysis Technician

We are currently seeking a Battery Cell Analysis Technician. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.  

Role

• Use gloveboxes and metrology equipment to prepare and/or conduct cell assembly, disassembly, analysis and documentation 
• Use battery cell cyclers to characterize cell performance and support algorithm development 
• Record and document cell characterization data in an organized manner   
• Maintain and resolve issues with equipment and lab facility 
• Champion EH&S related tasks and coordinate safe and timely waste removal 

Qualifications

• Experience with battery testing equipment  
• A basic understanding of lithium-ion battery safety and dangers  
• A proven track record of generating easy to follow reports  
• Experience in equipment with inert environment  
• Detail oriented and organized mindset  
• Excellent written and oral communication  
• Handling battery components  

Preferred

• Experience with next gen battery  
• Experience working with battery cells of different form factors  
• Experience with MATLAB or Python  
• Understanding of lithium-ion electrochemistry
