Job Description

Overview
The Quality Team is missioned to promote, facilitate, implement the solid and agile quality system to support the whole business on innovative product design, efficient and effective industrialization, and joyful customer satisfaction.   This is in accordance with our vision “Blue Sky Coming” that stands for our commitment to a brighter tomorrow through our industry-pioneering smart connected EV.
As a member of our Quality team you will work with software engineering teams across US and China and with industry-leading automotive component and ECU (Electronics Control Unit) vendors globally. You will focus on the value-added activity to the engineering design in an agile way for solid design quality and its release.

Responsibilities

  • Enable and support the engineering team to establish software development processes and tool chains that meets related software standard and models, i.e., ASPICE, CMMI, Cyber Security and Functional Safety
  • Evangelize quality mindset and benefits of software quality system to internal stakeholders and engineers
  • Define the quality assurance plan and execute independent quality assurance activities, i.e., SDO (Software Development Observation), identify non-conformance issues, and communicate with stakeholders to get them resolved
  • Track problems and communicate with stakeholders to get them resolved
  • Enable and support the engineering team to deep dive top issues and execute improvement actions for root cause
  • Collect and analyze software quality data during development, identify quality risks and report quality status to relevant stakeholders regularly
  • Organize Domain Release Readiness Review and approve software delivery based on the health status before delivering the software
  • Design a proactive quality program for software development, and organize enabling activities
  • Lead or support software related audits and ASPICE/FuSa assessment in relevant areas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree +10 years of coding and software quality experience
  • Experience working in an agile development
  • Well versed with ASPICE
  • Familiar with the development of embedded software and experience in project management or development of automotive electronic control products
  • Familiar with CMMI, ASPICE, Functional Safety, Cyber Security, SOTIF requirements
  • Familiar with FMEA, FTA, UML, SYSML methods
  • Familiar with software development related tools, i.e., JIRA, EA, QAC, etc.
  • Familiar with the vehicle development process, with the ability to build and audit the entire vehicle R&D system
  • Good track record and demonstrated ability of identifying quality risks and issues and drive process improvements
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders
  • Critical thinking skills and ability to handle sudden setbacks under pressure
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a dynamic/fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • Experience in the automotive industry (or higher complex system like Aerospace or Military) or a start-up company
  • Automotive SPICE Provisional Assessor with hands-on experience
  • Scrum master
  • Hands-on experience on Functional Safety ISO26262
  • Functional Safety Expert (TUV) or equivalent 
  • IREB certification
  • ISTQB certification
  • Mandarin speaker
