Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, experienced project manager to implement and oversee our rooftop cooling panel installations. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of SkyCool’s projects. You will need to work collaboratively across the organization and will be tasked with managing multiple workstreams and relationships as well as undertaking a senior client facing role. As Head of Projects, you will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization, budget and timeline. This is a strategic, yet very hands-on, solution-oriented role given SkyCool’s stage. Longer term, you will have the opportunity to build out a project management team. Project management experience in solar/renewables/construction is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage installations of SkyCool panel arrays and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Manage project design, installation, and M&V. Coordinate all activities throughout a project’s lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain systems for monitoring project performance and effectiveness of project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with clients and colleagues. Provide accurate and regular updates to all stakeholders throughout projects.
  • Seek and use customer feedback to improve the level of service offered.
  • Develop the project execution strategy, processes and partnerships required to achieve installations of hundreds of projects per year.
  • Promote a culture of proactivity, innovation, flexibility and collaboration in all aspects of project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in construction or project management in solar, distributed energy or close analogue.
  • Experience building and managing a team that does project development from initial project scope analysis through construction and commissioning.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including the ability to develop trust and credibility, lead by example, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
