Systems Integration Engineer

The Zoox Prototyping EngineeringTeam is responsible for unblocking the intricacies of Autonomous Mobility.  Our team serves as a technical hub to resolve any challenging engineering and design problems. As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will accelerate the progress of hardware and software development through your innovative ideas, applied to newly discovered and interesting topics. You will develop a wide range of skills in fast prototyping scenarios, as you unlock the future of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally to develop hardware and software requirements
• Integrate electromechanical systems into our Prototype Development Fleet
• Develop test and inspection equipment to validate prototypes and scale for high-volume production
• Refine manufacturing operations and establish new processes
• Collaborate with experts in AI, Mechatronics, Computer Vision and Robotics from all teams throughout Zoox
• Serve as the principal subject matter focal point between hardware design and prototyping

Qualifications

• Fluency in Python or C++
• Experience interfacing with CAN and LIN based systems and logs
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• At least 2 years relevant industry experience
• Systems Integration and Test experience

Bonus Qualifications

• General aptitude with fabrication, machining and electronics
• PCB design experience
• Harness design and build
• Robot Programming
• PLC and Automation technologies
