The Role

Voltaiq is seeking a collaborative and talented Frontend Software Engineer who is interested in helping us take our product to the next level. You will work with product management and designers to help build a powerful and intuitive analytics engine on top of a battery data platform that serves some of the world's biggest companies in automotive and consumer electronics. You will help build, test, and maintain features of our frontend application within an agile development process.

Responsibilities:

• Create user interfaces from designs and product specifications.
• Estimate the amount of time tasks will take and complete work accordingly.
• Regularly review code and have your code reviewed by coworkers to ensure high quality.
• Maintain and expand the test suite.
• Participate in requirement refinement and planning meetings.
• Collaborate closely with other engineering team members in creating a cohesive overall architecture and application.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science or a related field or comparable experience.
• Proven project experience in application development - in college or outside.
• A strong understanding and working knowledge of React.
• A passion for creating beautiful, engaging, efficient, and intuitive user interfaces.
• Desire to learn new technologies.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Exposure to AngularJS.
• Experience working with large scale, data-intensive web applications.
• Eager to accelerate the transition to a battery-powered world.
• You keep yourself informed of new developments and trends in frontend technologies.
• You love Javascript (at least the good parts).

Our Stack

We deploy on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure by leveraging Terraform and Ansible to build and maintain our infrastructure as code. We use Jenkins to automate our build, test and deploy pipelines continuously. We monitor and gain insights into our systems using Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana and Loggly. Our languages and notable frameworks and libraries include Python, Javascript, Java, Django, Django REST, React, AngularJS, Plotly.js and Plotly Dash. We use Celery, RabbitMQ, Spark and Redis for asynchronous data processing and scheduled tasks. For persistence we use PostgreSQL, Apache Parquet, and the Linux filesystem.
