Grant Manager

WHO YOU ARE

As the Grant Manager, you will be responsible for deeply understanding grant requirements, mapping them closely to research and development projects.  You will work cross-functionally with a variety of technical teams, from Research to Battery Development, Process Development, Equipment Development as well as Supply Chain, capital projects and various business stakeholders.  You will coordinate and tie together the linkage between related grant work, ensuring reporting mechanisms and requirements are met, and completing the required reports to meet the grant deadlines.  

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

• Plan and implement grant program
• Research funding opportunities
• Communicate and coordinate closely with grant contributors and stakeholders
• Tie together grant work with the development-to-launch programs
• Prepare budget and required government reports
• Monitor expenditures and track results
• Analyze financial data
• Optimize grant administration process
• Manage timelines and deliverables

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical discipline
• 5+ years of relevant industry work experience, preferably in the battery industry
• Adept at collaborating with both technical and business groups
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
• Experience in writing and managing government grants or equivalent and working to tight deadline
