Your role and your team:

This role will be part of the Aircraft Programme Management team, which is responsible for the management of our aircraft development projects. You will report directly to the Head of Programme Management and work closely with the System Lead Engineers and cross-functional teams to manage the development, manufacturing, and delivery of the Battery Cells of the aircraft. You will be a key member of our “Cell Innovation, Manufacturing, and Supply” integrated project team.

In this role you will use your experience of managing complex fast-paced projects to help the teams deliver Lilium's projects on time, and draw-upon your knowledge of project management best practice to develop fit-for-purpose processes.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • You will work closely with the Head of Programme Management, System Lead Engineers and cross-functional teams to project manage the supplier’s cell innovation, manufacturing ramp-up, and timely integration into our aircraft batteries throughout the entire development lifecycle.Liaise with our Energy and Factory teams on all cell requirements, prototype needs, and delivery timelines.
  • Alongside the System Lead Engineers you will be accountable for on-time and cost delivery of the battery cells.
  • You will lead the daily project management to which you are assigned including coordination of project and resource planning, risk and issue management, change control and cost management.
  • You will ensure that project management data and KPIs are effectively maintained, analyse this data to provide insight into the progress of your projects and assist in resolving any issues arising.
  • You will contribute to the creation of a strong Programme Management function by helping to develop project management processes, identifying best practice and ensuring a consistent approach to project management across all project.

 

Your Profile:

  • Undergraduate or Master's degree in a technical field (e.g. Engineering) or experience in a technical cell environment in lieu.
  • Minimum of 8 years' project management experience (or 13 years' experience in lieu of degree) working in a battery cell environment, preferably involved in complex development projects (e.g. automotive, giga factory, etc.)
  • Strong preference to candidates who have participated in at least one product development program; familiar with different stages of development, procurement, industrialisation, manufacturing; certification experience a strong plus.
  • Ideally hold a PM qualification equivalent to IPMA Level C or higher.
  • Excellent understanding of techniques for scheduling, risk management, estimation, project communications and budget and resource management.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing cross-functional teams and ability to work closely with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluency in German or any other language would be beneficial.
